Plantronics Tainted Minds COD and SMITE Teams Competing In CGPL Autumn Event This Weekend

Plantronics Tainted Minds (PLT. Tainted Minds) Call of Duty and SMITE teams will both be competing at the upcoming CyberGamer Premier League (CGPL) LAN this weekend. The event has a total prize pool of AU$30,000 and will feature four different titles being played across the weekend, including Black OPS III, Counter Strike Global Offensive, Rocket League and SMITE.

The event is taking place Saturday the 16th and Sunday the 17th this weekend, and is the first of many offline national events CyberGamer are planning throughout 2016.

The PLT. Tainted Minds COD team will be participating in the Call of Duty finals for the CyberGamer Pro Series at the event, after their valiant efforts, in last weekends Crown Invitational. Where they lost to North America's regional champions, OpTic Gaming, in the semi final of the international invitational and placed equal third with MindFreak.
The team gained valuable experience during the Crown Invitational and are looking forward to competing for the AU$10,000 up for grabs at the CyberGamer COD Pro Final Series.

The PLT. Tainted Minds SMITE team will be competing in the SMITE Oceania Pro League’s Split One finals on Sunday at CGPL Autumn, with AU$10,000 also on the line.

PLT Tainted will be versing PandamoniumGG, formerly Avant Garde, who dominated 2015 and competed at the 2016 SMITE world Championships. The PLT. Tainted Minds SMITE team are a dedicated new squad who formed in earlier this year and have shown fantastic growth and have already seen some great results in the early days of their foundation.

The CGPL finals will set the pace for the teams that will enter the competition in the upcoming Split 2 and 3 competition, that will determine this year’s top team to make their way to SMITE World Championships in 2017.
In a recent interview with Respawn Ninja, Tom 'Tomolomu' Morgan, captain and support player of the PLT. Tainted Minds SMITE team, said they are looking forward to the challenge of facing Pandamonium and have confidence that they can beat them over the weekend.

“We love a challenge and who doesn’t enjoy a Dark Horse story” said Morgan. “They [Pandamonium] have once again proved this split that they are the team to beat, absolutely crushing majority of the teams in the OPL.”
“We are certainly the underdogs in this fight, however, having tasted victory in one of our 3 OPL games against Panda, we know what it takes to bring them down and are confident that we can beat them this weekend.”

Both the COD and SMITE PLT. Tainted Minds teams are eager for the weekend finals, which should be a exciting weekend with plenty on the line for both teams.
